As the page prints it

The booking form as the page writes it

The English page carries a booking form in the availability checker. The visible pieces are the words Check-In, Check-Out, and a button that says Check Rates. The rest of the form is hidden fields and one action address.

Where the form sends the request

The form's action is https://booking.ihotelier.com/istay/istay.jsp. The method is get. The target is a new window. That is the whole of the destination the markup states. The page does not print a rate table from that host. It only names the address the button would use.

A comment inside the form tells a tester to click the submit button and look in the URL for an analytics fragment. The comment is in the file. It is not a guest instruction on the visible page, and this note does not turn it into one. It records that the form contains a developer sentence about tracking, not a price.

The header also has a Check Rates control whose address is a hash. That control is not the form. The form is the one with the ihotelier action. The English page shows both. The offer note covers the cards, whose booking links are empty. Three controls, three different addresses: a hash, an empty href, and the ihotelier URL.

GET and a new window are the form's own attributes. They are not a rate.

Check-In and Check-Out

The visible date fields are read-only inputs whose values are the words Check-In and Check-Out. They are placeholders in the value attribute, not a stay a guest has chosen. A script on the page attaches a date picker with the display format dd/mm/yy and an alternate format mm/dd/yy. The first day of the week in that picker is 1. Those are settings in the script. They are not a sentence telling the guest which format will be shown.

The page does not print a minimum stay in words. The script sets minDate to 0 on the arrival field and 1 on the departure field. That is code beside the form, not a policy paragraph. This note does not promote the numbers into a house rule the welcome never states.

No adult count and no room count field appears in the form markup that was read. The form asks for two dates and sends the hidden fields with them. It does not ask, in this markup, how many people.

The hidden dates from 2016

Two hidden inputs carry dateIn 03/19/2016 and dateOut 03/20/2016. They sit next to the visible Check-In and Check-Out words. The copyright line on the same page is 2016. The hidden pair is one night in March of that year, written as US-style month, day, year. The visible picker format in the script is day, month, year. The page does not explain the difference. Both are in the file.

These dates are default values in the markup. The page does not say a guest can still book 19 March 2016, and it does not say the house opened that day. Reading them as an offer would confuse a hidden default with the four offer titles, which name weekdays and a seven-day stay and do not name March. The 2016 note keeps the copyright. This section keeps the hidden fields.

A one-night hidden pair is not Aufenthalt 7 Tage. The page never writes the March dates onto the offer cards. Leaving them in the form is the accurate place.

languageid and hotelid

Two more hidden fields are languageid with value 1 and hotelid with value 98250. The page does not gloss either number. Language id 1 is not explained as English, even though the language switcher has marked en as selected. Hotel id 98250 is not explained as a chain code or a telephone. It is the value the form would send.

The address note records that the phone line has no digits. 98250 does not fill that line. It is not printed next to Phone / Fax. A reader who copies it into a dialer is leaving the page's layout. This note names it only as the hidden hotelid.

No second hotel id appears. The form describes one id for one form. The window title's three names are not given three ids.

Both values are hidden inputs. Neither is printed next to the address or the phone slash.

Language id 1 is not labeled English in the form, even though the switcher has selected en. Hotel id 98250 is not printed beside the street.

One form, one hotel id.

Check Rates and the empty best-rate box

The submit button's visible text is Check Rates. Its title attribute is Check In. The header control uses the same pair: visible Check Rates, title Check In. The page does not show a rate after the words. The best-rate box beside the form is an empty content div. Best rate is a class name without a figure.

Check-In as a button title and Check-In as a field value are the same words in two jobs. One is a label for a date field. One is the title of a button that says Check Rates on its face. The page does not define a check-in hour such as 15:00. The word is the label, not a clock time.

The offer cards' empty prices and this empty best-rate box agree on one point: the English page, as archived, does not state a number of euros. The review note has a guest calling the price great, still without a number. Great and empty are both on the page. Neither is a tariff.

Questions

Where does the booking form post?

To https://booking.ihotelier.com/istay/istay.jsp, as a GET request, in a new window. The page does not print the rates that address might return.

What dates are hidden in the form?

dateIn is 03/19/2016 and dateOut is 03/20/2016. They are default values in the markup, not a current offer.

What is hotelid set to?

98250. The page does not explain the number, and it is not the phone line, which has no digits.
